Yes we did it and went ahead and got our Shiba Inu puppy. A really cute dog breed that resembles a fox and is the only one that I seem to like enough to get besides of course my beloved Rotweillers.
And despite what many might think it's actually working out really well so far thanks to the fact that she so far is a very calm puppy. At least by puppy standards. We or in truth I named her Inari no Kitsune which in Japanese means Inari's fox spirit.
As many of you know all our pets except Scarlet are named after a God from ancient times without ever being from the same group. That being the reason for Scarlet's name since I couldn't find one I liked that didn't already have someone in that God group. Since Shiba Inu's are a 10,000 year old Japanese breed I found it only fitting to pull from their now considered Mythological Gods. Mike from the start didn't care what I named her as long as it was short, narrowing out a lot of names for me since Japanese gods tend to have really long ones. Out of those I picked the one I thought was the cutest sounding which was Inari the god of rice and fertility who ironically is always represented by her messengers which are coincidently foxes. Something I found quite fitting.
