First step

Keira took her first step today while I was sitting in our chair with the ottoman to put on my shoes for our walk.  She had been standing with the support of the ottoman, which wasn’t right in line with the chair since I was putting on my shoes and stepped away from it with no support only to take one step and then grab mommy since I was apparently her goal to reach. 

But…. Parents are just SO mean.

Yep, we are.  We officially gated Keira off, or trapped her in depending on your view from the pool.  With the gracious help of my mom and grandma we were able to get a pool fence which was installed today.  It was a very noisy operation so us poor sick adults didn’t really get to nap.  Here are the pictures of it. Yes, are chairs look like crap, we need to fix them they’ve got weather rot from the fifty thousand degree sun that lives only here in Phoenix.

Here’s Keira playing with the new toy my mom and dad got her.  She really likes it and knows it way better now.  These videos were shot when she first started to play with it.

Here are the birthday videos from Keira’s first birthday.  Considering how long they are they finished uploading really quick. It’s multiple videos by the way because LJ was being helpful for cleaning up but didn’t realize (and I didn’t tell him) he was standing right in front of the camera that was filming.

Big News!!!

For those who haven’t heard already, since we’ve told a few people and announced it at Keira’s birthday party.  We’re PREGNANT again!  Yep, I’m fifteen weeks along today.  So our due dates around February 9 to 15th.  They keep on jumping around with it.  No, we don’t know what it is yet. 

Keira’s First Birthday!

Keira turned one and we drove out to San Diego for her party so that all the family could attend.  No, I don’t intend to do it every year just so you all know.  Anyways here are some pictures from it. We took a lot of video, especially of her unwrapping presents and the cake so that’s why you don’t see pictures of it.  I could only do one thing after all not all of it at once camera wise.  The videos, when they upload, will be up eventually.  Since they’re long it may take years, ok fine may not years, but forever for them to go up to youtube so don’t expect them today or tomorrow.  Thanks to those who came down to attend by the way. 

 

These pictures were from Keira unwrapping my parents gift at their house.  They didn’t see the need and it was big to bring it up when it’d come right back down. It was with this one that Keira finally understood it was ok to rip the paper since its not ok with daddy’s magazines.

First time to the Beach

As a kid you couldn’t pry me out of the water even if my lips were blue and I was visibly shaking.  Keira…?  The sand is evil….the water is evil…. mom, dad and aunty Kym…evil!  Yep, she officially HATEs the beach. Here are the pictures we too.  You can see her unhappiness for being dirty as well as her general dislike.  I’m uploading a video right now that we took so it’ll be up later.
